I was not taking any chances on this night as I paired up with my brother, Samuel, to guarantee I made this one. I am so glad i did….

Jeff Tweedy has always seemed like someone I can relate to with a layered complexity that proceeds his every breathing moment – conscious or not. One thing I will say about the dude is that he is a survivor. The guy always lands on his feet thru band breakups, line-up changes, addiction, mental illness and record label controversies. I can respect that.

This night would prove to be a solid live WILCO injection that as memorable as it was seemed bittersweet in the sense of all that I have missed over the years. WILCO creates not a wall of sound but a WAVE….Set after set the guys rarely disappoint.

Get a load of this ironman workout of a set list:

Ashes Of American Flags
Bull Black Nova
I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
Kamera
Handshake Drugs
One Wing
War On War
A Shot In The Arm
At Least That is What You Said
Via Chicago
Impossible Germany
Airline To Heaven
Jesus
Theologians
Remember Me
Walken
I’m The Man Who Loves You

1st Encore:
Late Greats
Misunderstood
Spiders

2nd Encore:
Heavy Metal Drummer
Summer Teeth

3rd Encore:
Hoodoo Voodoo

No matter what you think of Jeff Tweedy and/or WILCO, they are professionals that give you your moneys worth without a birage of special effects to make up for lack of talent.
