\"Image\"This past Saturday night one of Houston’s finest music venues, House Of Blues, hosted musical wonder woman, Beth Hart. \u00a0Heard of her? \u00a0My guess is that most of you will be answering no.<\/p>\n

I know I would have been in the dark as well if not for Pandora Radio.\u00a0 Somehow Beth started showing up on one of my personalized stations.\u00a0 This caused me to get a serious case of the Beth Hart crazies. \u00a0This powerhouse voice started coming through my Bose speakers like a freight train roaring through a tunnel.\u00a0 Never heard anything quite like her!<\/p>\n

It got to the point where every time one of her songs came on, I’d stop what I was doing and crank it up. \u00a0You can ask my poor wife.\u00a0 It wasn’t like I needed to turn up the volume because it was low.\u00a0 It was a case of starting with somewhat louder than \u2018normal’ volume and going to full blown because that’s just what it takes to capture the essence of this previously unknown (at least to me) dynamo!\u00a0 Beth Hart’s voice was so powerful, so rich, so distinctive, it causes my head to spin.\u00a0 Had me wondering once again what cave I’ve been living in for the past decade for her to have escaped my attention.\u00a0 All I knew for sure was that I had to go see for myself if this was the work of great record producing and sound mixing…or if she would actually deliver this sound live.<\/p>\n

When the stage lights came up I could not have counted to three before the answer came screaming into my brain and gut.\u00a0 Oh yes, SHE’S THE REAL DEAL!<\/p>\n

Maybe you think I am being a bit dramatic but let me assure you I am not.<\/p>\n

This woman can sing the blues and she can rock & roll. \u00a0She can play the guitar and she can play the keys. \u00a0And did I mention this California lady can sing her butt off?\u00a0 Beth belts out every note using every fiber of her being.\u00a0 I’ve never seen anyone perform quite like her.<\/p>\n

\"Image\"If you like music, power packed music, you must<\/em> go see Beth Hart. \u00a0Don’t pass go, don’t collect $200, don’t worry about familiar songs or knowing the words, don’t fret, like I did, over whether or not she’ll sing your favorite Beth Hart song (mine? \u00a0Leaving LA).\u00a0 Just go, listen, absorb, enjoy, and experience all that she is – hard to define but maybe a cross between Janis Joplin, Etta James, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, with some Stevie Nicks and Bonnie Raitt thrown in to boot.\u00a0 Bottom line is you will not be disappointed. \u00a0Beth would sound great if she sang the warning label on the side of a pack of Marlboros.<\/p>\n

Thrilled to discover that it wasn’t just my imagination and some quality Bose speakers.\u00a0 Beth Hart, you were smokin’ every minute that you were on stage.\u00a0 Thank you!<\/p>\n
