\"Image\"About half an hour after the show was scheduled to start, the lights dimmed and images of running horses filled the theater screen.\u00a0 The pent up and anxious fans had suddenly become a handful for the massive security guards at the barricade.\u00a0 The crowd knew that Rob Zombie had arrived.<\/p>\n

The entrance reminded me of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, only darker.
\nThe undead climbed behind the drums, and the rhythm section was manned with two skeletal figures.\u00a0 As his intro song “Sawdust in the Blood” came to an end, Rob Zombie emerged from the shadows in the fog.\u00a0 This is what the sold out crowd had been waiting for.<\/p>\n

Rob started the year off with the release of his 3rd solo album since White Zombie disbanded.\u00a0 “Educated Horses” debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200.
\nCurrently he is on tour, going through 34 cities promoting his new CD.
\nBesides touring and recording, Rob also has also directed two feature films.
\nHouse of a 1000 Corpses and the sequel titled Devil’s Reject are now widely available.\u00a0 His third directorial endeavor is an animated film titled The Haunted World of Superbeasto, which is scheduled to be released later this year.<\/p>\n

While waiting for the show to start I could hear the crowd murmuring, wondering if any White Zombie songs would be played.\u00a0 When the opening riffs for “Thunder Kiss 65” broke out, the fans erupted into a frenzy.\u00a0 Of course, this was after Zombie toyed with the crowd asking for song requests, and then teased them with Van Halen and Van Hagar songs.\u00a0 Zombie also riled the crowd with “More Human Than Human”, and “Super Charger Heaven”.\u00a0 Some of the other songs included “Dragula”, “Living Dead Girl”, “Superbeast”, and “Feel So Numb”.<\/p>\n

Overall the show had a well balanced mixture of old and new material.
\nBetween the light show and the weirdness on the silver screen, the entertainment never stopped.\u00a0 Rob showed no signs of slowing down, leaping from monitor to monitor and leaning into the crowd.\u00a0 His onstage energy, fueled by the raving fans, brought him back for an encore performance.\u00a0 At one point, Rob even jumped down into the barricades so the fans can help sing the song.\u00a0 As a parting gift, we were entertained by a signature guitar solo.<\/p>\n
