\"_S0A6841\"<\/a>It was about a month ago now I was invited to Sera Cahoone\u2019s show out at the Dosey Doe in the Woodlands, Texas.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d never heard of her before which isn\u2019t surprising since she comes all the way from rainy Seattle. I\u2019m glad I made it though and I hope she comes back around again\u2026soon.<\/p>\n

This tour was riding the crest of her latest release \u201cFrom Where I Started\u201d which is a collection of fundamental, soulful songs about people and places in her life so far. All the joys and the pains are dealt with as only a true artist can.<\/p>\n

Try this one on for size. It deals with the tragic loss of a cousin at the age of 21. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b0boN8LRWoc<\/u><\/a>. Great lyrics and instrumentation don\u2019t often come this way, or this easy. Do I hear Shawn Colvin in there somewhere?..<\/p>\n

As a performer, Sera winds her songs easily around her audience. Never ostentatious and always unassuming you\u2019ll find yourself drawn to the artistry and honesty she pours out so effortlessly.<\/p>\n

As would be expected, this evening\u2019s set was drawn from the new project, but featured a few from across the span of her earlier releases Only As The Day Is Long and Deer Creek Canyon.<\/p>\n

So thanks again Dosey Doe. Keep breaking ground with great artists like this.<\/p>\n
