AMA Nominee James McMurtry is headed back to the Houston area next month to offer up some great music and big news. The big news is that McMurtry’s song, “Canola Fields,” from his first studio album in 7 years, The Horses and the Hounds has JUST been nominated for The Americana Music Association’s Song Of The Year award 2022 – The 21st Annual Americana Honors & Awards Ceremony will be held at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Music City (Nashville TN, of course!) on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022.
Before the onset of Covid, James McMurtry toured year-round, consistently throwing down unparalleled powerhouse performances famous for his outspoken, sensible views, melodically succinct lyrics and lauded storytelling. Expect nothing less from this tour as James McMurtry lets loose The Horses and the Hounds at Mainstreet Crossing in Tomball on Sept. 9, 2022
One of Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Albums of 2021 as well as making their top 25 best Country- American list, The Horses and the Hounds is a must have CD for any serious music listener.
