Anyway, we show up with BYOB and a bucket of chicken and its on. Dude has briskets and fixins working. He has his entire living & dining room gutted to provide LIVE music in his freakin house. How sweet is that?!
Having worked in the Deer Park area before, I know these folks are cool. Mr.Kenny Pipes is the main man on this gig, followed by his sweet Mom! It was KP’s B-Day and a cake was provided along with a “million”

As far as the set, it was great. Cool folks doing their own BYOB to a funky, blues “what is that?” kind of band!! To use a cliche, these guys have IT! That we were seeing them in a living room set up was hot! Believe me, if you hear a tune like “Penny Candy”, you’ll be hooked.

“Smack You Back” WILL! We saw these guys at the Corner Bar in Conroe twice. The 2nd time they were better than than the headliner, Guy Clark at the Crighton, that night. “Can’t be Satisfied” makes me feel like I’m in Nawlins havin’ a blast and havin’ fun. Yikes these dudes are sweet. Don’t take my word for it. Whenever these guys are around, GO see them! God Bless guys like Kenny Pipes who think and believe that LIVE music matters. Get off your ASS and go see some soon…in the case of porter davis, it better be sooner rather than later because these fellows are going no where but up. Until the next fun time, I’m out…
