ImageOn a night when the Astros were playing in their first World Series (and losing!), an enthusiastic crowd of devoted Billy Idol fans showed up at Club V and were treated to a killer show!

From the 2nd song when Billy started peeling off some clothes and was “Dancin’ with himself”, the sweat started pourin’ out along with a good time! “Flesh for Fantasy” followed and the ladies up front were in full tit poppin’ heaven. “White Wedding” rocked the joint! Billy was shirtless by the 6th tune and it was on! There turned out to be plenty of stage for both Billy & Steve Stevens to do their thing. Stevens was in fine form, both on electric and acoustic guitar. His lead in on “Eyes without a Face”
was killer and thee electric follow-up was awesome.

Billy showed a nice touch as he cranked out a few tunes on acoustic by himself. His voice was in fine form. The Idol man filled a void in the 80’s and still has something to offer live! He introduced a new tune about Louisiana “Wash us Away” that was nice. A killer
rendition of “City of Nights was anotherĀ  highlight.

Of course, “Rebel Yell” was an anthem of rockin’ fun to the dancin’ throng! For a guy who made his debut on Solid Gold years ago, he’s hung in there and still delivers a very enjoyable evening of music. This reviewer was glad he was there, even though I missed
the Astros game!!! Long live LIVE music!
